Bieber, 19, told the Mirror: “I came to the Philippines to help my fans understand the importance of involvement on all levels. It’s easy to pledge my commitment to this cause, but it’s staying involved that matters most to me and that is exactly what I plan to do.
“I want to bring as much awareness to the devastated areas as I can. Seeing the suffering first hand and interacting with the community was an experience I will never forget.”
Bieber is asking fans to help him support victims of Typhoon Haiyan, which left nearly 6,000 people dead and more than 1,700 others missing, and flattened entire towns and villages in the central Philippines.
By donating to to the Philippines fundraising effort by Unicef, fans can win a trip to his studio as well as other prizes.
Speaking about the charity work Braun explained: “We work alongside many charities at Scooter Braun Projects and have made philanthropy part of our core missions.
“Giving back is something very close to both mine and Justin’s hearts and we are extremely grateful for the support we have received not only from the charities who have tirelessly worked alongside us to make this trip possible but, for the Philippines to graciously host us in their country at such a difficult time.
“This visit has shown to me the true courage and strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.”
